Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment 2026 Eligibility, Qualification & Age Limit
The educational qualification and date-of-birth requirements are different for different entries. Candidates should apply only for those branches for which they meet all the required conditions.
General Service GS(X) / Hydro Cadre

Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment 2026 Final Year Eligibility
Candidates who have already completed their Graduate/Postgraduate degree as well as candidates studying in their final year can apply, subject to the conditions given in the notification.
Final-year candidates must complete their required educational qualification before joining the Indian Naval Academy in June 2027.
Candidates possessing qualifications from foreign institutions must submit the required degree equivalence certificate from UGC, wherever applicable.

Selected candidates will undergo training at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala.
Short Service Commission will initially be granted for 12 years. It may be extended by a maximum of two years depending on service requirements, performance, medical eligibility and willingness of the candidate.
The probation period for all branches/cadres is two years. It starts from the date the candidate is granted the rank of Sub Lieutenant and ends after two years or completion of initial training, whichever is later.
